Sigma Phi Epsilon - ΣΦΕ Fraternity at University of Maine - UM 3.7 Sig ep has all of the smartest guys. They hit the books hard, but don’t party unfortunately. A good frat if youre not the party type, but want some leadership skills.

Sigma Phi Epsilon - ΣΦΕ Fraternity at University of Maine - UM 4.9 SigEp is truly the best Fraternity at UMaine. SigEp leads all fraternities in total membership, community involvement, and GPA. Athletics are traditionally exceptional, with the titles to boot. The reputation of a SigEp is someone who succeeds academically, leads by example, and loves to have fun. Through SigEp, men strengthen their character, build leadership and interpersonal skills, and learn to develop healthy, lifelong relationships that are essential to a successful and fulfilling life. The mission statement of “Building Balanced Men” is achieved through the Balanced Man Program, an experience focused on scholarship, leadership, professional development, and life skills. The Maine Alpha Chapter also has a substance-free house, making for a cleaner, safer, and more academic environment. Everyone has their best fit, so it's up to you to try out SigEp and find out for yourself!

Resembles more of a club than it does a fraternity. No rushing, no pledging, just initiation. I could be a full fledged 'brother' of SigEp in the time it takes to drink a beer.
