Yeah there is COR in the spring but usually only the low middle and bottom tier houses do it. Plus they don't have too many bids to give out so I would rush in the fall

Yep wait till fall that way your friends that got into houses this year can put in a good word for you and you can get the house you want. If you haven't noticed who you know is a lot more important who you are. For example a PiPhi last year didn't have a high enough gpa to even rush as a freshman, tried to do COR in the spring and no house wanted her. But she waited till she was a sophomore and got in PiPhi since her best friend was in the house. You will have a lot bigger selection depending on where your friends ended up
