parties
by: pnmI am a high school senior who is planning on rushing next year. I'm very curious as to why some houses seem to have way more mixers, date parties, semi-formals, themed parties, etc. than other houses. I am very social and that part is important to me. Can anyone tell me why this is? Do some houses have a lot more money to spend? if yes, does that mean dues are more? Will it cost me more to be in one of those houses? Also which ones tend to be the houses with the most social activities.

idk about sororities but frats have huge social budgets, and most have some kind of themed date party or mixer at least once a month.

The houses that have more parties/mixers have higher dues so they can do those things. Most houses do at least a couple events a semester and then of course tailgating for every football game. The top houses will be more social but harder to get into and they are more strict on grades.

The houses that usually get chosen are GPhi's, Chio, DG's, Pi Phi, and Theta. Do what you want with that info.

I have noticed that about the Greeks at KU. It's so exclusive, and since the frats have complete control over the parties they have complete control over the social lives of the sororities. Why doesn't KU mix it up more? There are hot and nice girls in every house. Why do they limit themselves to the same small group? Seems to counter what Greek life is supposed to be about.

SK and KD also do several bid parties each year with frats but sadly they almost never mix with DDD Adpi or AGD. I don't know why, there are so many amazing girls in those house they are really missing out.

bc most frats are full of superficial conceited fu.ckbois that only care about getting laid. They have the best luck with certain houses so they keep going back for more
