small town

I live in some what of a small town and I don't know too many current students at KU. I know quite a few past students but anyways that's not my point. I've heard a lot of talk from people saying if you don't know someone in a sorority or you didn't grow up close to Lawrence then you don't have a good chance getting into the sorority of your choice. Is this true?

True. Depending on the sorority of your choice. That's not necessarily a bad thing though. Some of the harder to get into sororities won't offer you much even if you get in, since you will be an outsider and most of the girls already know each other so you will not be included. They're VERY cliquish.

Yes this is true. And the first comment is correct, it's not a bad thing at all.
