pi phi at ku
by: Pi Phi legacyI was wondering what the Pi Beta Phi house is like at KU. What are they known for, and how hard is it to get in? Also, do they or any other sorority take girls from out of state?

Known for being one of the most snobby houses on campus. Stuck up and rude and they act like they're better than everyone. Here's the thing, they recruit friends only. So if you don't have a friend in the house forget it. You don't have to even be smart anymore. They took some DUMB girls this year.

None of the girls I know in PhPhi are friendly at all. They look down on you if you don't dress/act like them, and they're constantly judging others. It's more of a clique than a sorority. You will not find a real/genuine girl in this house. Not well liked outside of themselves

I had a great rush and even though I didn't end up in pi phi, (I'm in a different great house that felt more like home to me:) I went there on pref day and loved it! The girls were sweet contrary to what rumors say, and I didn't know anyone in the whole house so the rumor that they recruit friends only is a complete lie.

Pi Phi is always considered one of the top houses but I don't get it. This is my senior year at Kansas and year after year they bring so many lousy girls into their house. There have been several girls I really like but the number of "undesirables" have made it a place to avoid, for me and many of my friends.
For example, I know a guy who gave a drunk Pi Phi a ride home. She had a very minor injury getting out of the car because she was so drunk, the guy sent her flowerer, even though he didn't know her. She are her family expressed their gratitude and sued the guy....that in a nutshell is Pi Phi. Ungrateful, felling of entitlement, narcissistic, and spoiled.
