I have all my recs, but how important are they honestly? What sort of role do they play if any?

I didn't have even one letter of rec, and I got in an upper middle house which I love.

Letters of rec allow the girls in the houses to know who you are before rush starts. This is a huge advantage.

Letters of rec really just inflate a girls credentials. It's all about who you know. There are some awesome girls who don't have recs, and some girls with recs still get a bottom house. Maybe some girls care about them but others don't

Recs suck cause every girl can come up with someone halfway important sounding to write a glowing letter about them, whether they deserve it or not. Houses that rely heavily on them are missing out
