% of cut girls

I don't know if anyone really has records for that, (they probably do I'm just out of the loop). But I know a lot of girls dropped before bid day, and some dropped before getting initiated into whatever house they got.

If you're worrying about rushing try not to focus on percentages. The possibility of getting cut from every house is over exaggerated on this site for some reason.

4% is what panhellenic has on their website.

That number seems really low. With 12 sororities taking around 50 new girls each that would put somewhere around 600 new girls. If 1,000 go out that's around 40% who don't get in a house. Even considering the numbers who drop on their own it would still be around 30% I would think.

Does anyone know what GPA is considered when a sophomore rushes? Is it the freshman year GPA or her high school GPA? And what GPA do you need to get a bid?

last year they said rarely almost never "basically never" that a girl doesn't get any bid, yet that happened to quite a few girls I knew personally last recruitment

A small percentage get cut from every house if they maximize their options, apparently 4%. It seemed like a lot this year because so many girls rushed. Really, the main reason this happens is if a girl's gpa isn't high enough, especially in comparison to other girls rushing. If you get cut from all houses at the end of the week, its probably because you cut the houses that wanted you and preffed the houses that thought you would fit in better at the houses that wanted you. In a lot of cases, girls get asked back to the house(s) that they cut to see if they would still be interested.

Less than 4% will be cut. Numbers for entering pledge class are decided based upon the amount of women available at pref. For sophs, college GPA. Entering freshmen (even if they have college credit) high school gpa.
