Well then you are probably not only a groupie, but also got in a so called top house because of who your friends are or your parents have money. I think you are in the minority and also lucky so it doesn't make you better than everyone and that is the whole point I think. You are judged hard at KU by your house and no one should be told to keep their negativity to themselves just because you don't want to heart the truth. Doesn't change anything. There are two very different experiences for KU greek life obviously

Idk what the frats are like obviously, but sororities are so fake. The whole recruitment process is just putting on a show, it's all a façade. You can't be yourself, your discussions are limited to about 3 topics: what you did over summer, what your major is, and where you're from. How can you truly get to know a person from that?! The whole system is screwed. I totally agree about the bid being the equivalent to signing your death wish. People pre-judge you based on your letters before they even get to know you.

Ditto for an uncool sorority house. You're stuck. And none of the "cool" fraternities will have anything to do with you. There is a big split down the middle at KU and it's disgusting how superficial and fake everyone is.
