Your Questions Answered

Yay its time for FFR! As a member who had no legacies I had so many questions, so im here to help answer some!
Will I get dropped for being out of state?
No, sororities really do not care if you are out of state. If you are concerned a rec letter can help.
Do I need rec letters?
No, they are not necessary and dont stress about them. I got in the house I did not have a rec letter for.
How many girls does each house take?
Each house takes 60-80 girls. With the current number of PNM's if everyone completes recruitment (which never happens) you will get a house.
What if I don't want a house?
It is incredibly important to be nice to the girl you are talking with at every house, even if you don't pref them. Houses talk, and if you are rude you can be dropped from all of recruitment.
What do I wear on bid day?
Shorts or a skirt that is neutral (denim, white, etc), and a shirt you don't care about. Chances are you will lose that shirt.
I got dropped from a house, now what?
Have the memory of a goldfish. It can be so discouraging but don't let that ruin your chances of getting in a better house. Talk to your recruitment counselors.
What do I talk about during recruitment?
Whatever is important to you. But remember, no booze, no boys FOR SURE. Some people say no religion, no politics, but if those are things you feel like you can talk about with the recruiter then test your luck. But I don't recommend it.
Out of 11 sororities I promise there is one for you, make your experience the best that YOU can, instead of setting your sights on one house.

I totally agree! such great advice. also if you're not excited about the house(s) you have on pref its totally okay to drop out of recruitment. COB starts immediately after bid day and its a way easier process. just keep in mind not every house needs to participate in COB so you wont have all 11 chapters to choose from. just remember you cant accept a bid then drop and do COB for a year.
