getting a bid
by: KULet's face it, If your parents have enough money, and your grades are OK, 90% of the time what sorority you get in is based on your friends already in the house that put in a good word for you. Either that or you're a legacy. There is no other way to explain certain girls in some of the houses.

Just because your friends gets in does not mean you get in. I have a friend that went through formal with me. When our chapter did informal she talked to 3 of her friends and they decided to do it. Only one of them got a bid, and it wasn't based on looks or money , it was based on personality. It is never based on who you know and that how your get it, you have to actually be able to speak and make conversation as well.

Personality DOES play a big part in recruitment. But if you're normal then sororities look at your grades and your parents' money.
