sororities

I'll mention all the houses that are relevant.

Gamma Phi Beta- Most well rounded house. Pretty girls and really good grades. They're rich and exclusive but they're actually pretty darn sweet.

Pi Beta Phi- Beaitiful girls that seem to all get along. They are always doing something fun. Cool bunch of girls.

Kappa Kappa Gamma- Wide variety of girls in the house. They're super fun and pretty classy. They're great people to be friends with and they're pretty.

Chi Omega- Super smart and classy girls. They don't party as much as everyone else but they're still pretty fun. They have a beautiful house.

Theta- Same as Chi O with more of a hippy vibe.

DG- Beautiful girls with a fun sisterhood. They party hard and don't have the best GPA, but they're a blast.

AXO- Incolved girls with good grades. Not the prettiest or the most popular but they seem to be really fun.

I think that while all fraternities are pretty much different, so are sororities. However, they just fit into a few different molds. KU has grade sororities (including community service and presence, good girl stuff), party (which generally includes a very strong sisterhood) sororities, and looks (which includes the relevance of money, ideally) sororities. Top tier houses generally either have a very noticeable amount of one of these, or try to have all three. So the middle and lower sororities are the same as the upper tier, but generally just are lacking in one or more of those areas so don't have enough girls of one type to be described easily.
So my theory is that you can best describe the middle and lower tier sororities by finding their big league counterparts

Sig Kap- I personally think they are little leagues to theta because they are on the hippie side. Both try to be well rounded, Both houses are traditional greek architecture, with columns. Diverse group of girls who are hard to put a label on bc of mixed pledge classes. Fun although they don't party as much. Their house has a great location though

AGD- DG little leagues. Both party a little more than they are known for having stellar GPAs. Both strong fun sisterhoods. Laidback but actually very stratty, just like dg, not hippy like theta or sig kap. Neither top tier yet still, especially this year, have a large presence in the greek system. Both houses are traditional greek architecture, with columns.

KD- KKG, bc many of their sisters are classy girls or come from money, and during recruitment these seem to be placed before looks for KD and KKG. This is why these two houses are similar, because the girls all look like a very diverse group but they all will either have one of those two things in common (i'm ignoring the rumors) AND THEIR HOUSES LOOK SIMILAR!

ADPi- AXO, bc they are not known for killer looks but they are very involved with their philanthropy, and are both very traditional sororities. Lots of the girls who joined these houses were looking for a typical sorority experience, and they both have lots of pride for themselves. Both houses have a large presence on this website, and both of these houses don't live in houses that traditionally look like sorority houses!!!! Neither as laidback as other house

And what about Gamma Phi and Pi Phi or Chi O?

In my opinion those three houses don't really have others like them. Maybe Chi O with Theta but Gamma Phi and Pi Phi are unique
