Questions Just Wondering

Hi My grandma use to be a Delta Zeta here back when she went here I was just wondering why it’s been inactive and why other sorority’s have been too like Aloha Phi, Alpha Delta Gamma, etc and where there houses used to be or if other sorority’s use them now? Thanks you

not sure about DZ specifically, but Alpha Phi had some sort of behavioral issue that got them booted off campus and KD uses that house now. AGD was shut down due to low numbers, and a frat owns the house now. When a house is inactive it essentially means it doesn’t exist anymore on KU’s campus. It’s possible for them to recolonize in the future, but a sorority with no house (or a small property) wouldn’t do well at all, after what happened with SDT.

DZ closed during the Great Depression. Many sorority chapters around the country had to shut down back then because their members simply couldn't afford to stay in school.
