Is chi o hard to get a bid to?

Is chi o generally sought after and hard for a bid, what do you need to do to get a bid, and what other sororities are also hard to get into?

going through recruitment last year, I can definitely say that Chi O was one of the most highly sought after for pnms. I would say if you’re a legacy, have friends in the house, at least one rec letter, and have a stellar resume- your odds are pretty good of being invited back after the first round of cuts. Obviously good convos with the actives is super important, but since Chi O places such an emphasis on grades/involvement I feel like they recruit off of that primarily.

Other houses that are hard to get a bid from would be Kappa/Pi Phi, but for different reasons.

And those different reasons would be ... ?

I feel like pi phi and kappa rely more heavily on in-house connections, and certainly favor those from the KC area slightly more. These houses also don’t put nearly as much emphasis on grades as Chi O, therefore it makes sense that they recruit differently

pi phi and kappa definitely tend to recruit girls more from the st. louis/kc area. chi o usually recruits more girls from out of state, if that helps at all!

i also think kappa/pi phi recruit more off of personality, looks, and alllllll about who you know. obviously theres a few stand out pnms that maybe people didn't know and met during recruitment too
