Houses that compete the most with each other for PNMs: Chi O, Gphi, KKG, Theta, Pi Phi
- Chi O gets a lot of hate on this website but honestly has one of the best houses and is super good at rush. The house is def the most iconic on campus (chi o fountain duh). Great location because it’s right on campus! This house mostly competes with Theta for girls because it is a grades house but I also know a lot of girls who were choosing between Gphi/KKG and Chi O.
- Gamma Phi: Gphi’s past classes are all super hot and pretty! They have always had a pretty diverse PC as well (def more-so than any of the other top houses). This year’s PC is more focusing on grades which is part of the reason why they ranked third in grades (behind the obv grade houses: theta and chi o). Super trendy & cute girls, every gphi I have met is pretty charismatic too! The one thing Gphi has going against it is that it is the only house out of these 5 with “sleeping dorms” which people either find really convenient or really annoying. The good part is that they’re neighbors with Chi O so they also have a great location!
- KKG: Kappa’s house is beautiful and there are a ton of cute girls in this house, too! This house is known for being “one of the boys” and they have the reputation for being crazy partiers. Their GPA went down this year but they’re usually competing for the girls that are choosing between Gphi & Pi phi. This house has a great location because it is super close to campus as well!
- Theta: like Chi O, this is a grades house. If a girl knows her sh-t and is super smart in class, she’s most likely a theta. Also super pretty PC this year! This house is near Kappa so great location! I’ve heard theta has problems with parking (I mean what house doesnt) but I also heard that Theta is having a problem because girls don’t want to move out of the house (good sign!)
- Pi Phi: the PC this year was very small which can seem intimidating/exclusive but everyone ik has a story about a pi phi..... the girls all sort of fit a “uniform” look, ifyk what I mean. The house doesn’t have a great location compared to the other top houses but it’s super cute & next door to phi psi!! A lot of the older pi phi’s hang out with older gphi’s.

Houses the compete the most with each other for PNM’s: Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Sigma Kappa, tri delt, and kappa delta, ADIPI.
- Alpha Chi Omega: this house has a super pretty PC this year! A lot of the girls are down to earth and are very fun! I think ACHIO mostly competes with DG when recruiting PNMs.
- Delta Gamma: this house is soooo cute! Super fun girls that are sooo great to party with. This is like “the girl next door” house, everyone I meet from DG is super nice and so pretty! This house is in the Greek Ghetto, so not as close to campus as some of the other houses but there are a ton of diff Greek houses next door to them.
- Sigma Kappa is known for being the “nice” house. This is a super diverse house with a lot of fun and cute girls! A ton of really cool girls informal this house and I think it’s one of the most genuine houses. It is super big so there’s a lot of girls for anyone who joins it to feel at home. This house’s location is super great because it’s next door to Chi O & Gphi, so they’re also right on campus.
- Tri Delt: Delta Delta Delta gets a lot of hate on this website! I think a lot of the girls in this house are super cute and fun! I think a ton of cool girls, like SK originally informaled in order to get into this house. It’s not as close to campus because it is in the “Greek Ghetto” but the good part about that is that this house is neighbors with a bunch of other Greek houses! SK is also a good grades houses as they came in 4th for GPA this year.
- Kappa Delta: I know a lot of girls were choosing between SK and DG who are in this house. This house has a lot of down-to-earth girls! I think it all comes down to who you talk to in SK or DG or KD when choosing between the three, but everyone in KD feels super at home. This house is in the Greek ghetto too, and like I said before this is good because they’re neighbors with other Greeks.
- ADPI: this house is sooo beautiful and big! I’m pretty sure I saw a TikTok that someone made of how pretty this house is! The girls are all super smart and accepting of everyone! This house is neighbors with KD/Tri Delt, too.

Finally, SDT! This house closed it’s chapter at KU but I just wanted to add that it got a lot of hate on this website but for no reason! It was a newer house so it was obv harder for them to get bigger but the girls in it, loved it! It was def a house for girls not interested in the traditional sorority experience and they all were very sweet! I just want to say how sorry I am that this chapter closed and I wish the best to all the girls in this house.

Keep in mind that rankings are arbitrary and completely subjective. I’m ranking this based on my personal experience and what I feel portrays the best traditional sorority experience but each house is special in it’s own way and the rankings change from person to person!
1. First Choice:
- Chi O, GPHI, Kappa, Theta, Pi Phi
2. Second Choice:
- Delta Gamma, Alpha Chi Omega, Sigma Kappa
3. Third Choice:
- Kappa Delta, Tri Delt, ADIPI
