Are their dry houses and do they suck?

All houses at KU are dry. KU is a dry campus except on Game Day at University Venues and tailgates. No house is supposed to have alcohol at the house. Even if a Live-In member is over 21 they MAY NOT have alcohol. Some chapters still have girls sneak it in and hid it but all chapters should have room checks each semester and the fire department walks through for fire hazards so you better not have it then either. If a house has alcohol at a house event they get in HUGE TROUBLE.
Frats are wild. Frats are sin houses and have everything under the sun.

Not true. The fraternity houses are off campus. Each house will have its own “rules” as to alcohol but not from KU.
