It depends for each chapter, I got into a top house with out having any letters of rec. If you have some use them but if you don’t, you should be fine!

To be honest, I thought they didn't matter at all when I was going through recruitment, but I later realized how I should've atleast tried to get some letter of recs. I would get as many as you can just in case and don't throw it off like it's not a big deal, because to some chapters it can make a difference how many days you are asked back.

They literally do nothing. Honestly. They won’t help you but still get them to be safe I guess?

i got a rec letter for two tops here and i didnt get called back to either after first rounds so... its all based on personality and how the women in the chapter feel about you

as someone in top house it helps you but only for day one. like we dont care past day one at all. so if u get dropped and at still have a letter its because we didnt vibe and got scored as low as possible

Each chapter has different rules. I had letters to Kappa from KU Alumni and they didn’t invite me back first day. Not the only one to have heard these stories. Letters give you a false sense of security. Letters will not get you in. Even with perfect grades and extracurricular activities.
