honestly i know people who really enjoy it but i also know people who felt pressured to join greek life and wish that they didn't have to do it (they still enjoy it but like.). you just need to keep an open mind and if you don't like the vibes, drop it. it's not the end of the world either way

I say go for it. Each chapter is different on each campus (so pi phi at ku may not be like at your mom's university). It is a good way to meet people even if you don't join a chapter. I grew close with people on my dorm floor and we joined different chapters but are still friends. I am friends with people who went through it and decided it wasn't for them. If you think that you are being pressured but still want to join, you can drop and go through informal recruitment. Just know that not every chapter does informal recruitment.

^ definitely gives you an advantage as if you’re a legacy, the chapter usually keeps you until later in the week!
don’t just focus on pi phi though, keep an open mind!
good luck!!!!
