rushing as a sophomore

by: current freshman

I went through formal recruitment this year as a freshman and dropped soon after bid day because I didn’t feel like the house would’ve been a good fit. I’m definitely looking to go through formal recruitment again next year- but I’m curious whether or not i would be at a disadvantage rushing as a sophomore, or if having friends in certain houses gives me any sort of upper hand.

I rushed as a sophomore and you are totally at no disadvantage. If anything there just be some issues with the fact that you dropped your sorority, and i’d expect for questions regarding that to come from the houses as you go through. I would say just get to know as many girls from different sororities as you can, so you can figure out where you’d see yourself most. Of course knowing girls in “abc” will likely give you an edge.. however I wouldn’t bank on that on its own!
