legacy

KU's Chi O chapter doesn't consider someone a legacy unless they are a legacy specifically to their chapter. Some girls who thought they were legacies, have gone their on pref night, ranked them first and not received a bid because their legacy relative wasn't a member a KU's chapter. This happened to a girl in my recruitment group and she and everyone else was really confused by it. I guess they have so many legacies that come through that they are very specific. Generally speaking however, most chapters at KU will release their legacies after first round because some have to get permission from their HQ to release after later rounds.
