rushing tips
by: itsyogurllli graduated with a 2.5 gpa from a very competitive catholic school. ik that it looks bad but it really had to do with my environment and family issues. will sororities already reject me just because of that? also, do i need to send in letters or do will i still have a chance without them?

I think you need a 2.75 to even go through rush. That being said, you probably would get cut from most houses because they have higher gpa requirements. Unless you are a sister of one of the members that donates thousands of dollars to the chapter, you’ll have a harder chance of getting a bid. You should rush your sophomore year!

You should rush as a sophomore. If your Catholic school was rigorous, you should have no problem getting above a 3.5 over your freshman year. Assuming you are otherwise cool, a lot of houses would then be clamoring for you at that point. Ignore my advice if you have major connections at certain houses and rush right away.
