sophomore rush, what can i do after not getting in th

by:

I rushed this fall. I am sure I didn't get in due to having a 2.9 gpa. I am pretty, thin and very personable. I made it through the first few rounds with houses I liked and Chi -O really liked me. At the end the house that bid me was SDT and I wasn't really interested. Thinking of rushing in spring or next fall. What should I do to enhance my chances. Should I do spring?
I am OOT.

You should pledge the library and get off of your high horse. They didn't want you, otherwise you would have had a bid.

In fact, a house on campus gave you a chance and you thought you were too good so you didn't take it. Don't think for a second that you can hide that.

If you really want the sorority life find out who is doing COR or spring recruitment. If you really didn't want SDT I don't blame you for dropping. It's social suicide. Houses like ChiO may have acted like they liked you but it's just for show. They already had their pledge class mostly picked. Lots of girls will drop from now till spring. A lot can't afford it, or don't want to deal with how much time it takes, and some can't stand the pledge class. There will be other opportunities.

grades matter. The Chi Os who acted like they liked you probably did, but there is no way they'll ever give you a bid with a 2.9. Plus, you'll never do well in the future with low grades. Figure out why you're in college. If it is to learn, go to the library. If it's to have fun, drop out and save some money.
