rush

If I rushed this year, and tried informal but didn't join a house, is it a bad idea to try formal again in the fall?

Sororities try to be fair, honest, and genuine in their hospitable dealings with PNMs. Your situation illustrates a need to self-evaluate before going thru a third attempt for a sorority bid.

Inquiring how your formal went last fall: Self-drop from recruitment, or no invites. Grades up to standards. Given formal bid which you rejected, or accepted bid then dropped before initiation. Your current year in school. Similar questions to your informal experience: Given informal bid and rejected it, or not bid during informal.

Do you see where I am leading you? Your thoughts and feelings count the most in these situations. What capabilities do you have to bring to a sorority. Will you accept that some houses will not be allowed by national policy to invite you to their formal parties because they cut you from last years formal events. Are you strong enough to willingly accept a bid from any KU home.

You have a right to try formal again in Fall, but no home has a duty to bid you.
