agd
by: confusedDoes anyone know what happened with AGD? I heard they only had like 15 girls on bid day but a ton of girls went there for pref... Did the system screw up or something? I knew their numbers were low but that's a really steep drop from last year when they had a lot of girls there on bid day...
#1 by: To confused,
The system doesn't screw up. Just because they had tons of PNMs on pref doesn't mean that those PNMs preffed them. Unfortunately, AGD has several things not going well for them and its causing them to lose a lot of their members. I will be surprised if they make it past this year. This is basically what happened to SDT three years ago.

somebody started a rumor that they are losing their house. my roommate from freshman year is in AGD so i know a couple of them and this isn't true. panhellenic at KU just doesn't support one another so another house probably started that rumor. sure, maybe a lot of them really just didnt wanna be in AGD, but the rumor caused a lot of damage. it sucks because all of them i've met are really nice. hopefully panhellenic will support them and help them.

Panhellenic does not support any of the houses except for "top" houses. The cattiness between houses is what they crave. It's actually encouraged by many of their policies. They allow all the same houses to only socialize with each other, they don't encourage mixing or getting to know all the Greeks. For instance, the same houses always do RCR, homecoming, mixers, and date parties together. When was the last time Beta did anything with DDD or Adpi? I would have to say literally never. Houses should be paired up with a new house every year and rotate until they've been paired with all houses. Greek life is one huge clique and panhellenic prefers it that way. It's really sad how they don't support the struggling houses and actually encourage the selective practices.
