sophomore with bad grades

I will be rushing this fall, and I am wondering just how much GPA has an affect on if you get a bid or not. My current GPA is a 2.0 for some insight.

That's pretty low. I didn't think you even qualified for rush with one that low. If you are allowed to rush you will be cut by almost every house except maybe AGD or SDT

I have the same problem, but my gpa is a 2.6, does this make any sort of difference?

Anything under 2.8 you're going to have a hard time.

Academics is something that all sororities focus on...houses want girls with good grades. I would say as a sophomore, a college GPA under a 2.8 may raise a red flag. Just be prepared!

Most if not all houses will cut you on the first day. Sororities must maintain a certain GPA and anything below a 2.8 is a liability. Maybe consider working this semester to focus on school and boost your GPA and see if any houses offer informal bids.
