Successful philanthropies, huge greek scene on campus (1 in 4), social scene- presence is known, recruitment can be pretty competitive, housing is SO much nicer than k-state or mizzou, overall its not the sec but its one of the top if not the top in the big 12.

KU has a pretty underrated greek system. Houses are extremely nice, recruitment is competitive, and pledge class sizes just continue to grow year after year. Also have some of the best traditions like rock chalk revue and ku basketball. Obviously its not quite comparable to SEC, but its definitely on the rise. One of the top greek communities in the midwest and big 12. Only downside is that is heavily dominated by rich KC/johnson county kids so out of staters can potentially be at a disadvantage going through rush
