If this sorority discriminates against and disciplines girls who affiliate with a certain political party is it endangering its 501(c)(3) status? Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.

I’ve met one really awesome pi phi who i love, although i have my issues with them. their recruitment process is pretty awful, especially the things they say about the girls as they choose who to bring back. their top priority is status and image which is not a great thing to focus on or stress on as a chapter. there is little loyalty between the members and they would rather party with the worst guys as long as their attractive and popular. being friends with some pi phi’s is perfectly fine but i would definitely not recommend joining:/

A majority of the guys i’ve met in theta chi are so much fun to be with and always have made me feel safe. some of the guys suck but that’s at every frat. they aren’t the most popular frat on campus so they’re not elitist douchebags which is a nice change!
