Much past experience has shown that re-colonization success can be ensured only when started with a clean slate of new members who have no preconceived notions or paradigms about the Chapter and/or how it should be run.

So losing 40 years of tradition = successful chapter?

@Old One
SigEp is moving forward rather than clinging to the past. It's a shame the former brothers couldn't live up to standards. If they did, they would have been winning awards. Instead they chose to fail. It's really that simple.

Sig Ep could use the old guys. Hell I'd depin and join them simply because they love raging face and strippers as much as I do

that's not allowed... not for any fraternity... do you know anything about greek life... a chapter is decolonized only after all previously initiated members are graduated

"a chapter is recolonized only after all previously initiated members are graduated."

If this were true, then SigEp would not be recolonizing now in 2015 ... they would be waiting until 2017.

None of the old guys did. Funny thing is the old guys still here out number the "new guys" by about ten fold

Not surprising that the new standards are too high for the old members to meet.

New standards? They want individuals that will mindlessly make the chapter look good on paper while feeding the national organization money. You seem naive to the fact that nationals only want numbers, money, and members that reduce the risk of insuring.

Could New SigEp merge with Old SigEp to help the chapter improve membership numbers, finances, and alumni relations?

The old sigeps don't want anything to do with the social rejects that comprise the new balanced man chapter.
