How does the informal rush process work for sororities in the fall?

For my sorority informal rush is not advertised and you only get an invite if you know a sister. We have casual events like Benny's night or dinner at the house to get to know the rushees

Give your email to fraternity and sorority life so they can put you on an email list. Those sororities choose whether to reach out to you or not. In reality the majority doing informal probably will not, maybe 1 or 2. All sororities do informal differently. Panhellenic is not involved hence the term "informal." Some sororities do a more relaxed version of formal recruitment which is a couple nights in a row and you just chat informally with sisters at their house. Others may do something not at their house. My advice would be to go through it to if you are interested. If you still aren't 100% go through formal. I went through informal and formal and was really glad I didn't settle for something during informal.
