junior transfer joining a sorority?
by: 💃🏻
Howdy everyone! I'm doing two years at CC and then transferring to tech next year. I really want to join a sorority and wanted to know if they accept junior transfers?
My GPA so far for freshman year is 3.8. Would this be good enough to join?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to see what my chances of joining a sorority would be. :3

your gpa shouldn't limit you at all if you keep it up. but joining as a junior may be a little tricky. my pc has close to 70 girls and there is only 1 junior (but she was also a transfer so it might help) but I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. I would try doing informal rush in the fall for whichever sororities are doing it that year.
good luck!

Girl I wouldn't worry about it! I transferred from a CC and found my home away from home. I know this is cliche to say, but you will end up where you are supposed to be. Also, try your very hardest this fall because if you are doing formal recruitment they only look at your VT GPA, not your overall. Some sororities are picky over GPA so if you are looking to get into those do really well the fall semester because it will be the only GPA that sororities would see!
In conclusion, don't let your age/year stop you from joining a sorority! You will regret it if you don't later on.
P.S. my pledge class had a few juniors!
