junior rush
by: KatyHi, I am transferring in as a junior and was wondering, would it be weird to rush as a junior? Do the sororities give bids to juniors? I feel like I might be out of place or it would be harder to fit in! whats everyones opinions on this?

Being in a sorority at VT, I can say that going through as a junior is not very common, but people do it. I was surprised last year seeing how many girls went through as juniors. They definitely do get bids because (and I may be wrong on this) some sororities don't count them in quota, therefore, they don't negatively attribute to their numbers, so they can still get the same number of younger girls as before for retention purposes and not be penalized by taking a junior. So I'd say go for it! It's definitely worth it and a good amount of juniors got bids last year that went through.
