advice from a so called "top tier" member

by: sorority

It's crazy how once you're in a sorority, how little these "rankings" matter. I know some absolutely fabulous girls in every sorority that DON'T fit the stereotype of that sorority now. It's weird to think that as a pnm before recruitment i really payed attention to this site and it actually helped me choose my sorority. I absolutely LOVE my sorority, but before I made my own opinions I had these stupid rankings in the back of my head. If you're going to be a pnm for next year, you can look here for a general guideline of stuff, but you'll be able to tell which sorority is right for you during recruitment. it all clicks then.

You're right, but I don't think rush is a good indication of what it's actually going to be like when you're actually in the sorority. Anyone who's been through rush knows that it's a dumb process based off of intense small talk and talking to a few people in the sorority. Of course it has to be this way though because so many girls rush.
Given that, I definitely agree with you that I think it'd be better if this site was focused on what it's actually like to be in that sorority (involvement, social life, etc.) rather than focused on these rankings which are honestly never going to change by much, so I don't get why people even bother bickering between who's number 1 and 2.

If you don’t get a bid to a top tier you’re joining an irrelevant group. The only relevant srats here and kd, ddd, dg, Aphi and maybe zta

You're obviously not a member of a greek organization and don't realize the values of it.

recruitment is so exaggerated and only works well if you’re amazing at small talk (which is okay if you aren’t)! Rankings do NOT matter bc in the end were all paying the same for dues and still socialize w the same people. Just go where you’re comfortable and happy!
