sorority transfer questions

I'm really considering transferring to VT next fall and I am already in a sorority at my current school. I was wondering how it works transferring in, are you automatically accepted into the chapter at VT? can they deny you? Is it a hard/easy transition? Also I have a friend who is considering transferring also but isn't in a sorority already, is it hard to rush as a transfer? Thxxxx

I am sure it is slightly different at every sorority, so you should look at your sorority national standards. I know that ours allows the chapter to vote on a transfer, but you basically have to have a damn good reason to not accept the transfer.

Your friend might have a different experience depending on her year in college. A lot of sophomores rush and do just fine, but any higher than that and it might be tougher to get the chapter you want.
