What is being “preffed”?

I had a girl in a chapter tell me (I’m a PNM) that she was “preffing me” today
What does that mean? Is that a bid or?

She may have meant to say that you were the girl she was hoping to talk to for preference and is glad you came back for pref. If you’re really on the fence about what she meant you should talk to your Rho gamma

All it means is that she was paired up with you when you were at her sorority. That is not a bid
