dropping pledge before initiation

This has happened to me last semester and I went through pretty much all of the pledge process without any issues then suddenly got dropped last week of pledging. They wouldn't disclose why and just told me I couldn't me initiated. So what would make a fraternity drop one of the pledges couple days before initiation?
