non-panhellenic greek life?

Does anyone have experience with non-panhellenic Greek Life? I'm in panhellenic right now and want to either switch or rush another organization. All comments appreciated.

Don't have experience with it, but if I was an incoming frosh or a sophomore then I'd look into it b/c VT is eradicating panhellenic through suspensions and whatnot b/c they hate us

Gamma delta sigma(GDS) is non-Panhellenic and they are a really good sorority if you want to go that route. I know their rush starts sometime in September. If price was an issue, they are cheaper than Panhellenic. They also do most of the things that Panhellenic sororities do too. Just an overall different experience

there are also interest specific sororities. there is a co-ed chemistry fraternity AXE and then there is also an agriculture sorority called Sigma Alpha. both have cheap dues and I think both have rush each semester
