Sorority recruitment is what you make of it. Yes, the days are super long, and you will probably lose your voice repeating the same answers to the same questions at each house, and you will also spend time crammed with a ton of other girls in a frat house, but honestly you’ll most likely make good friends in your rho gamma group and in the holding house (we would sometimes bring cards and stuff to pass the time together) and even though you talk to so many girls at each house you begin to find more of who you vibe with and (I know this sounds cheesy and stereotypical) you’ll find your friends in the houses! To me, because I went through it and accepted a bid, I think it is 100% worth it, and it’s totally fine if you try it and decide it’s not worth it!
If you don’t want to go through that week long process, you can always do informal! Just know that only certain houses do informal, and usually you have to know people in each house to be invited to the events, but they’re a lot more relaxed and laid back and some people prefer that. Whatever you decide to do, you’ll do great! :)

It's a lot of what you make out of it. It's a long week and is definitely physically and mentally exhausting but I enjoyed the parties and you do bond with people in your rho gamma group and holding house even after getting a bid. 90% of girls in most chapters go through formal rush and most I know say it's worth it. To me honestly the worst part of rush was not getting to use my phone bc I get bored easily but if you bring other things to do and talk with people you can pass the time. You have all fall semester to decide if you want to do formal tho!
