should i wait until spring?
by: noneI'm currently deciding between Theta Chi and DKE for closed rush. I have some regrets not rushing other mid/upper tier fraternities on campus but I also would appreciate some honest opinions about each of these two fraternities. Should I wait another semester and rush again?

Both those frats will be a good time with theta chi being the bigger slightly better fraternity but in the end it's where you see yourself fitting in, every frat has a specific culture and if you're hesistant in pulling the trigger you always have the option to receive a bid and differ it until next semester. If you're a freshmen don't feel rushed but the sooner u join a fraternity be sooner you can start having fun

Well first you didn't get a bid yet so you're not fully in. Nonetheless like what others said, if you feel like you can fit in better with one of the two, then join them sooner than later. If you're hesistant than you can always wait but across the board most frats in terms of structure aren't very different from each other, only the environment and character of the people change. Agreed theta chi is a bit above Dke however both those frats will guarantee a fun college experience Good luck!

Both are good fraternities. Deke is a close to campus house and theta chi is far away. Theta chi is a little bit larger but Deke has been getting larger and quickly moving up it seems. Both are good fraternities and your fall semester classes will be easier than your spring semester classes. Pledging is also easier for everyone in the fall compared to the spring. Rush whichever one you feel more comfortable with the brothers but both will give you a good 4 years. Also, the sooner you pledge the sooner you can have fun. Best of luck!
