rushing questions
by: freshmanSo i'm a freshman planning on rushing in the fall and I feel like I know a lot about the top tier sororities already but I haven't heard a lot about chi omega, kappa alpha theta, or sigma kappa. Can someone please tell me more about those 3? Thank you!!
#1 by: Cant rush in the fall?
I dont think any soror takes first semester freshman, youll have to do formal recruitment in winter.
My opinion-
SK- great group of girls, love their philanthropy. Noted as top tier.
KAO- new, i know some really nice girls, and a few odd ones. Pretty diverse group, waiting to see how they do in formals. (Mid maybe?)
Chi O- again, has a lot of nice girls but also some off ones. Pretty establised as not top tier, closer to the bottom.
However, they all have great things to offer, so pick based off who you vibe with the best!

You don't have to worry about rush until spring!(you come back to school a week early from winter break for rush) but yeah I definitely agree
SK is a great group, I'd say they're upper mid and they're all really fun! I have heard that they've had problems with other sororities, but I don't really know past that
Theta is new so it's really diverse, but all the girls I've met that are really sweet and enthusiastic about it and seem to have bonded really well over just having to create this sorority together, so it's hard to tell what tier they're on, mid maybe?
ChiO also has a lot of great girls! but there are a few oddballs, they're definitely closer to the bottom.
A good way to get to know some of the girls is to participate in their philanthropies!
Don't worry too much about tiers though! go where you're comfortable with all the girls, it'll make your experience much more enjoyable, and no one outside of greek life cares about any of this stuff because it really doesn't matter
