i'm a freshman and one of my really good friends is in DDD. She doesnt drink and said nobody would EVER make you drink. It's really sad that people spread such malicious hate on this website.

Virginia Tech has one of the few greek systems that has a zero tolerance policy for hazing. It pretty much doesn't exist in the sororities here. I've been in the greek system for a few years and have never witnessed hazing at any chapter.

usually don't haze anywhere anymore. Panhellenic has super strict rules, and sorority nationals will kick members out for even minor "hazing" infractions. I'm a guy and honestly I'm cool with that. Sorority rush most places is a psychologically brutal enough thing that it could constitute pledgeship itself. I'd rather go through the moderate pledgeship I did than do sorority rush.

I'm from spring 13, joined a "top tier" sorority, and wasn't hazed whatsoever.

I am a junior at tech and have been in a sorority for 3 years and NO one here hazes. Have been in a top tier and friends with girls in every sorority and all we do is sleepovers and go to lunch. No hazing at all. DO NoT worry!
