cost of greek life

Thinking of rushing (sorority) either informal or formal as a sophomore but also broke. I know there's dues plus the other costs but I was wondering if it's possible to save money while in one(like are there things that are optional to pay for or is it kinda expected that you pay a lot of those extra costs) and I'm sure it depends on the house but was wondering if people really feel like the cost is worth it

I'm in one and I can honestly say I don't think it's worth how much a pay, but for some people it definitely is more than worth it and you don't know until you try

Being in a sorority is expensive as hell. Certain ones are definitely more expensive than others so you'll have to check on that. For most sororities there are payment plans so you don't have to pay the lump sum of dues all at once which is nice. But what most people don't realize is that SORORITIES ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THEIR DUES!!! Tshirts, philanthropy competitions, dp dresses etc will cost ya lots. Good luck cause I'm broke as hell

Not gonna lie it is expensive and there are fees outside of dues that add up but worth it to me best thing you can do is give it a try and see if it is worth it to you too

While other sororities appear more expensive then others some are all inclusive dues in which you DO NOT have extra fees while other ones appear much cheaper however they require TONS of hidden fees that they do not tell you about
