rushing as sopomore more difficult?

Hey, I am looking to rush some top fraternities in the spring, and heard that being a sophomore makes it a lot more harder because of the lack of freshman schedule, being off campus, etc.

is it really that bad?

I'd say they shouldn't cut you because you are older, but you never know with top tiers. They kinda do whatever they want
