thoughts on pi kapp vs beta?

Hey I'm a freshman who's been rushing around, and pretty much narrowed my choices down to Pi kapp and Beta. Does anyone have experience with both? From what I gather they are the same 'tier' (well recognized), but beta seems more built for soft, smart people whereas pi kapp is more for the party animal type.
Anyways what are your guys' thoughts

Basically, you don't join a fraternity to do your homework with them, so I try and always take academics out of the question. It's really what kind of dudes you enjoy being around, and whether you can see yourself hanging with them. If you enjoy party animals, then join that fraternity, if you are softer and don't want to do that, join the other fraternity. There are brilliant people from every major in most fraternities. Take it from a guy who's in a fraternity who's grades are about average for a Greek organization
