are legacies taken seriously here?

That will be YOUR decision at the end of the day. I know lots of girls who have gone with the sorority they're a legacy for, and lots who have not! The great thing about sororities here is that you literally can't go wrong with any of them. They are all so fantastic in their own way. Here, being a legacy does not automatically guarantee that you will be asked back to each round, nor will it guarantee you a bid. Every sorority handles legacies very differently and they can absolutely drop you if they do not think that you are the right fit for their chapter. However, most sororities do give legacies a lot of preference and you usually get put to the top of their bid list if they do think you're a good fit. With all of that being said, please go into recruitment with an open mind and find the right home for YOU!

There are many legacies that go through each year. Many legacies at the top houses get dropped simply because there are so many of them.
