fall 2016 fraternity rankings

Top: Pike, Sig Chi, LXA, FIJI
Upper Middle: Delta Sig, SAE, Pi Kapp, TKE, Beta
Middle: Pi Lam, ATO, Phi Sig, DTD
Lower Middle: Theta Chi, Phi Delt, FH, STG, AGR
Bottom: Theta Xi, Phi Tau, Sig Nu, Sig Ep, Alpha Sig

Not recognized: Kappa Sig, KDR, TDX, AEPi. I believe DKE might be recognized now, but that would put them at the bottom tier.

You can debate the relevancy all you want, but you'll be able to find a good brotherhood no matter the tier. If you're looking for the 'traditional' fraternity experience, don't go below the middle tier. However not everyone is looking for that, so I listed as many as I could

Yes -- most of Betas pledging is done in the shallow end of War to make sure their pledges don't drown.

Theta Chi down, they are known for throwing good parties but are pretty inactive in the Greek community. Clubs can throw parties, we are fraternities. Relevant but I don't think the fraternities get weird until you hit bottom tier
