After taking a look at what people below had to say, it seems to me that no one is really giving an honest review of Phi Mu. The truth is that Phi Mu did have some rough pledge classes a few years ago but they've really turned it around the past 3 years and now that they are becoming more sought after on campus, the other sororities are feeling threatened and are attacking Phi Mu and spreading negativity. All I can say to freshmen researching Phi Mu on this site is remember that HATE=JEALOUSY

Phi Mu girls are kind of annoying. I always feel awkward when I'm near them too, and nothing like ever seems to go right when they're running it...

Obviously girls in Phi Mu are going to say it's great. Every sorority would do that. As an outsider, I don't think it's bad mouthing when one shares their experience. Just because the girls within a sorority get along super well does not mean the sorority is seen positively by those outside. This sorority is just not as conventional as the other 3 panhellinic ones on campus. Also, when Phi Mu is represented in campus activities, they tend to not do so well. Sorry if the truth hurts feelings.

Phi Mu is not a band of misfits nor a last resort. It's full of girls who deeply care about campus, care about their sorority, and are more focused on appreciating each other's individuality than trying to fit into a typical sorority girl mold. Haters gonna hate, but that's below Phi Mu's radar.

Phi Mus are some of the nicest girls on campus. Their reputation is definitely improving. Many other Greek women do not like them and are known to badmouth them heavily, especially during recruitment.

The Phi Mus on campus are all pretty nice, down-to-earth girls. I'm not sure why people seem to think that Phi Mu is the bottom tier, because I feel like no one has anything substantially negative to say about them...

I think that the two people below me are lying, and here's why: 1) we do not dirty rush, 2) although we are not the most popular or attractive sorority, we are definitely the nicest, and 3) the only reason we would be mean to you/not talk to you is if you wronged us in some way, like badmouthing us. Ahem.

When I went through recruitment, I was close to a Phi Mu. I was dirty rushed like crazy so I would go Phi Mu. I enjoyed talking to a couple of the girls, but the others seemed like they were a band of misfits. After I the Phi Mu that I was close to acted like I dropped off the face of the earth. Lost all respect for them.

Phi Mu has a bad repuation because of it's past. They use to have a lot of heavier set girls, however, if you look around, the other sororites have a couple MUCH bigger girls than Phi Mu. Every Phi Mu that I have met is genuinely nice and is a lot of fun to be around. They have an awesome sisterhood and I don't think any of them are misfits. They have made quota for the past three years, they just haven't met total because of the past few senior classes. Phi Mu is on their way up!
