by: Brutal TruthPeople need to realize that joining an off campus fraternity is harmful to both their resume and their grades. SAE and Pike are recognized but both the university and their nationals. While Sig Chi still has their national recognition it is extremely doubful that they will be allowed back on campus due to their actions during their "probation". Therefore they're a bad choice to join as well. I'm not gonna lie the "Big 3" have great parties full of some of the hottest girls in the state of CT. However if you join them you are soley doing it to party. Its not for your grades and not for your future its because you care about the short term. :/

Who joins a fraternity for the grades and resume? Take some of your own initiative and maintain your grades by yourself. You don't need a fraternity to keep your grades up. Be yourself, have fun during the week at bar nights, go to Teds, go to Huskies, go to on campus and off campus fraternities. It's college. It's 4 years. I can promise that no one will care what fraternity you were in after college. Don't let anyone especially whoever this guy is tell you what is wrong and is right. Join whatever fraternity you want as long as it fits who YOU are.
