zbt / fiji
by: New...What's the status on ZBT and FIJI for next year. I'm thinking about rushing both and I know ZBT doesn't haze so that's cool but they lost their house to FIJI, do they still party? Does FIJI party?

FIJI is one of the smaller chapters on campus but they've spent the last year filtering out any kids that don't fit the mold from their founding for the past three years. ZBT and FIJI both have really great and motivated kids. Next year FIJI are keeping Coliseum (ZBT's old house next to carriage) and Duck on hunting lodge road. FIJI's parties are big especially the ones at Coliseum where you can't even move sometimes because there are so many people. ZBT is a better fraternity right now, though a 3 day new member process leaves the entire point of pledging (to earn your letters) behind. As a neutral I would look to go FIJI for the main reason that they are quickly on the rise and have the houses to continue going forward. ZBT do not. I hope this helps.

Currently ZBT is the better standing fraternity simply because they're riding their reputation from the last couple years and FIJI is still new. However looking forward it seems like FIJI is your best bet for getting to most out of greek life. They have Duck house which is one of the better party houses due to the size of its basement and its location which makes sure that the cops NEVER shut it down. Coliseum (the other house they took from ZBT) also has a good location being right next to carriage and celeron and with a long ass driveway that makes its parties a little more inconspicuous so again it has never gotten shut down. One party they had there this year ended up having GIRLS turned away simply because they couldn't fit any more people in the house. Basically, ZBT is the better one right now, but in the near future probably within the next year, FIJI will take them over. Also I'm not sure where you heard ZBT doesn't haze but its not true, every fraternity worth rushing hazes at least a little bit. It's part of the process.
