I'm transferring to Uconn and I definitely want to rush but I don't know where to start since my last school didn't have greek life. How do I go about rushing and when does it start? Will I even have a chance as a sophomore?Any tips for rush?

The comment above couldn't be more true. Don't act a certain way to to try to get a bid from a "top house" because if you do you'll hate your life for the next few years and they probably won't end up liking the real you either. Be yourself and you'll land where you fit in best. When I was rushing I only rushed top tier houses and then one less popular house as a back up in case I didn't get another bid. After about two rush events I decided to only go to the lower tier's rush events because I liked the guys there best and now that I'm a brother I wouldn't change a thing. I may not be in one of the more popular fraternities but I love my brothers and they love me. BE YOURSELF. This is of course assuming you're a guy but for a sorority have the same mindset. Several of my best girl friends rushed and were torn up when they only got their second choice but a week into it they all agreed it was the best thing that ever happened to them.
