informal recruitment
by: Transfer
I'm most likely transferring to UConn next year in the spring, and I am interested in joining a sorority. I know formal recruitment happens in the fall, but do any sororities usually do informal recruitment? Which would be a better option informal in the spring or waiting until fall of the following year?
Thanks for all your help!

Hey! I've been through formal recruitment and i've experienced spring recruitment from the inside, and I would say its probably better to rush in the spring. Knowing that you're a transfer, and i'm assuming you're transferring in as a sophomore, if you wait until the fall, that would make you a junior. Unfortunately, it can be harder to get a bid because you would already be so close to graduating, two years might seem like a lot of time to give to a sorority but in the fall you'll be up against girls who would be able to give 4.
