reminder to any girls rushing

uconn greek life is very small. as a girl especially, if you rush and where you will barely affect your social life or social opportunities. ignore these ranks, they barely matter in reality. what matters is if you find a sisterhood you actually like and can bond with. this isn't a southern school, and it won't affect you if you decide greek life isn't for you, or if you get a bid not by one of the "top" sororities. there are plenty of girls who end up hating where they are, or accepting a bid from a sorority they didn't click with only because of where they rank. be smart about it and do what will make YOU happy, for your college experience. i know girls in top sororities, lower ranked sororities, and no sororities that are all either completely happy or upset with their situation. i wish i had gone about rush a COMPLETELY different way but i didn't have my priorities straight. this isn't a post against any sororities in particular, but just a reminder to remember what really matters in a sisterhood if you are thinking of rushing.
